Happy Mother’s Day! To moms, children, sisters and friends….we appreciate you who chose to go boldly where many fear to tread: the sacred hard beautiful exhausting blessedly amazing world or motherhood!
Here are some wishes to a few very special moms out there…
****I heard a very eye opening comment from my 16 year old daughter last night. She said “Mom, you laugh more when your mom is around than any other time. You two have so much fun together!” I thought about it and she is absolutely right! My mom and I have lived away from each other now for over 19 years and that has probably been the most difficult challenge that I’ve had to face. She does bring so much joy to me and everyone she is around. She has an undeniable way about her in how she can bring hope and joy in any situation. She is my pick-me-up whenever I need one. She can solve world problems with a moist yellow cake and her homemade chocolate fudge frosting. She inspires so many and the best part is she probably doesn’t even realize that she does. Thanks mom for the joy, the love, the laughs, the cakes and for allowing God to use you in such mighty ways to shed His light in dark places! I love you!!
